The senior technical partner you can't justify hiring full‑time.
You run the business. Your developers write the code. Someone needs to bridge the two, make the hard architectural decisions, and keep your software moving as fast as your business does.
That's me. One day a week. Three months minimum.
You don't need to be a developer to feel this.
Projects take longer than anyone promised. "It's more complex than we thought" becomes a sentence you hear too often. Decisions about your software get made without you, or they get escalated to you without enough context to decide well.
Meanwhile, companies half your size are shipping twice as fast because they've figured out how to use modern tools seriously. AI‑assisted development has changed what small teams can do. If nobody on your team is looking up long enough to adopt it, you're falling behind without knowing it.
That's the gap I close.
What you get
Three ways to work together.
2 weeks
Discovery
€4,500
Two weeks to understand your business, your software, and your team. You get a written report in plain language: what's working, what's at risk, what to fix first, and what it will cost in time and money. A second copy in technical detail goes to your developers. You leave with a decision document you can take to your board. No commitment beyond the two weeks.
Best for: when something feels off but you can't explain what, or when you need an outside opinion before approving a bigger investment.
3-month minimum
Embed
€3,200 per month
I become your Architect‑in‑Residence. One day a week, on‑site or remote, working alongside your team. I review what's being built, make the hard calls, and introduce AI‑assisted methods that actually work in production. Between sessions, I'm on Slack for decisions that can't wait a week. You get a senior technical partner who speaks your language and your developers'. When the three months end, your team is stronger, your architecture is cleaner, and you know what good looks like.
Best for: founders and CEOs who need a senior technical voice they can trust, but aren't ready to hire one full‑time.
As needed
Escalation
€700 half-day / €1,200 full-day
For critical moments outside the normal rhythm. A production incident. A due diligence deadline. A board meeting where you need a technical answer you can defend.

Why this works
I speak both languages. 20 years as a developer, and I run my own software businesses. I can talk to your developers in their language in the morning and explain the same decision to your board in the afternoon, without either side feeling lost.
I ship, not just advise. Most consultants leave you with a slide deck. I leave you with working software, cleaner code, and a team that levels up from working alongside me.
I use modern tools seriously. AI‑assisted development is the biggest shift in software in 20 years. Most senior architects are still ignoring it. I run my own SaaS products using these methods every day. You get the playbook, proven in production.
I'm independent. I don't sell your developers more developers. I don't have a hiring quota. My only incentive is that your software works better when I leave than when I arrived.
Proof
Paulius successfully built a complex internet solution for us from scratch. I would definitely hire Paulius again for a future project.
Has a quiet personality, knows how to listen to other person's opinion, and has always a good advice in return. Perfect qualities for an IT consultant or Solution Architect.
OptoTrans - A transport management platform I built and maintain as a product line. Includes custom deployments for specific clients, such as a live messaging system migration from legacy architecture to modern push‑based infrastructure across mobile, web, and backend, with zero downtime throughout.
OptoQ - A restaurant ordering SaaS I built solo: kitchen dispatch, real‑time order sync, payments, and on‑site printing. Built in a fraction of the time it would traditionally take, using the same AI‑assisted methods I bring to client work.
Sakotis.nl - I run this retail business myself. If the software doesn't work, customers notice and revenue stops. That's the bar I hold my own work to, and the bar I hold yours to.
How we'd start
One 30-minute intro call. I ask about your business and your team. You ask about whatever you want. No pitch, no pressure. If it's a fit, we scope a Discovery. If it's not, I'll tell you honestly and, where I can, point you at someone better suited.

About
I'm Paulius Davydavičius. Solution architect and senior .NET developer with 20+ years in software.
Before building my own products, I spent years as a senior engineer and architect at serious international software companies. I've worked for GE Healthcare, Bentley Systems, and Five Degrees, whose platform is used by a significant share of major Dutch banks and beyond. I built an AFM reporting tool that feeds directly into De Nederlandsche Bank. At one of those clients, I introduced automated deployment pipelines that reduced release cycles from 30 days to under 1 day. In contexts like these, "it works most of the time" is not an acceptable answer. That's the bar I still hold my own work to.
Earlier in my career, I built systems serving Baltic governments and public institutions, including a video conferencing and meeting archival platform used by more than 20 Lithuanian municipalities, and a document management system for the Lithuanian Ministry of Justice.
Today, I run a portfolio of SaaS products (the Opto suite) under eSoftware Solutions, alongside selected client work.
